from Georgia to Madrid - Miami Ad School
the scholarship of Nika Gujejiani
For young people in Georgia who aspire to build a career in the creative industries, opportunities to access world-class education abroad remain relatively limited. Yet every year, one initiative continues to bridge that gap.
As part of its ongoing commitment to education, Bank of Georgia has been supporting emerging creative talent through the Nika Gujejiani Scholarship for the past seven years. The program offers one young creative professional the opportunity to study, fully funded, at one of the world’s most respected creative institutions.
Applications for this year’s scholarship are open until June 8, while the winner will be announced on June 15.
the nika gujejiani scholarship
Education remains one of the key pillars of Bank of Georgia’s corporate social responsibility agenda, with numerous initiatives designed to support personal and professional development.

Among these initiatives is the Nika Gujejiani Scholarship, established in partnership with Miami Ad School in 2019. Every year, the program gives one young person the opportunity to study at one of the world’s most prestigious and internationally recognized creative schools with full financial support.
Nika Gujejiani was a graduate of Miami Ad School, Creative Director at Bank of Georgia, and the author of numerous successful campaigns and creative projects. Following his tragic passing in a car accident in 2019, the scholarship was established in his memory and as a contribution to the continued development of Georgia’s creative industry.

what studying at miami ad school means from a student’s perspective
Miami Ad School is widely recognized as one of the world’s leading institutions for creative education, preparing future leaders in advertising, design, and digital marketing.
For aspiring creatives, it represents an environment where learning extends beyond traditional academic frameworks. The focus is placed on practical experience, portfolio development, and solving real-world challenges that reflect the realities of today’s global creative industry.
Graduates of Miami Ad School now lead creative work at some of the world’s largest technology companies and advertising agencies. Many have become global creative directors whose campaigns reach millions of people around the world.
This year marks an important change in the scholarship program. For the first time, the selected student will attend Miami Ad School’s Madrid campus rather than its Berlin location.
The Madrid campus has produced numerous internationally recognized creative professionals who have gone on to shape global brands and agencies. Among them are:
- Jorge Manzaneque, an independent creative director who won his first Cannes Lion while studying at the Madrid campus and launched his international career from there.
- Carolina Soto, Senior Copywriter at On.
- Victoria Leiva, a leading creative art director and designer currently working on visual concept development at Google (xWF).
why the experience matters
Studying at Miami Ad School offers much more than a traditional educational experience.
Students gain:
- A fully practice-oriented learning environment where knowledge is acquired through real projects rather than textbooks.

- Direct exposure to industry leaders, as instructors are active professionals from some of the world’s top companies.
- A professional portfolio featuring completed projects that can be presented to both local and international employers.
- Increased career opportunities, with school data indicating that 99% of graduates secure employment within their first year after graduation at companies such as Google, TikTok, Ogilvy, McCann, Lola MullenLowe, GUT, DAVID, Facebook, Disney, Coca-Cola, Nike, and Starbucks.
- Access to a valuable international network through collaborative projects, events, and industry connections developed during the program.
why initiatives like this matter
Georgia’s creative industry has experienced significant growth in recent years, reflected in the increasing success of local professionals and agencies on international stages.
Yet alongside this progress, one challenge remains consistent: access to international experience and contemporary creative education.
This is where initiatives such as the Nika Gujejiani Scholarship become particularly meaningful. When businesses actively participate in creating educational opportunities, their contribution extends beyond corporate support—it becomes an investment in the future of the industry itself.
The continued implementation of this scholarship demonstrates how a brand can play a meaningful role in developing a creative ecosystem rather than simply benefiting from it. It is an example of how corporate commitment to education can help shape the next generation of creative talent, strengthen industry capabilities, and contribute to the long-term growth of the creative economy.
